Welcome To Bush Tails!
I am a mommy of two teenage boys who keep me very busy while I also have a full-time job which I enjoy immensely. We have two dogs--Hippy and Stirfry. Hippy is a petite toy french poodle, and Stirfry is a mix of what we suspect may be boerboel and golden retriever. He is a rescue K9, therefore his unique name, and he is showered senseless with love!
I have been telling my kids African bush stories since they were babies, and now I'm working hard to share these 'tails' (tales) by publishing them.
We live in Mpumalanga, South Africa, next door to the Kruger National Park and often go there to spend time in the bush and look at the animals - lions, elephants, rhino, leopards, hyenas, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and numerous antelopes to only name a few. I also do volunteer work in the game reserve in my free time, from road patrols to hospitality and maintenance work which is very rewarding. My passion for Africa and her beauty is my main motivation for publishing these stories - to educate children worldwide about this precious wildlife. All these 'tails' (tales) include informational facts that young and old alike might find interesting.
MY MAIN AIM IS TO CREATE AWARENESS FOR CONSERVATION. Our beloved elephants, rhinos, lions and pangolins are my biggest passion. These animals are senselessly murdered for so-called medicinal properties they don’t even have. Lions are also subjected to 'canned hunting' which is just an atrocious trade. I cannot be in the front line to help with conservation (it will break my heart) and well, I have a full-time job. But I want to contribute in any which way possible, even just by creating awareness.

I love storytelling, and combining it with my passion for the bush gives me so much pleasure. I hope you also enjoy these stories, find it educational and will come to share my passion for conservation.
